Ekaterina Popova is an artist who believes that our entire life is a canvas and we have the power to create anything we desire. Her mission is to empower artists and give them the tools to take responsibility for their own careers and find validation and success from within.

Ekaterina spent the past decade growing her painting practice, serving creatives, and developing her coaching practice in order to make an impact beyond the canvas. Her paintings have been recognized, exhibited, and published internationally.

Hi, I’m Kat and I want to help you own your power and uncover the art queen that’s always been a part of you.

During most of my twenties, I was hiding because I thought there was something wrong with me. I felt that I was missing a key component of what it takes to be a successful artist.

I felt deeply ashamed and thought that I wasn't qualified to be a successful painter, that I wasn't talented enough, educated enough, or even attractive enough.

I would work hard to try to be seen, try make my art more "contemporary", earn my way to be worthy of my dreams in order to be noticed and validated by a gallery that would magically come to save me (that didn’t happen right away, but lot’s of other amazing things did, so keep reading).

I was desperate to be noticed, but deep down didn’t really believe I had what it takes.

When I wasn't serving pancakes or working at another minimum wage job, I would research how to be a successful artist. It became an obsession. I would read books, search Google, and listen to every artist podcast and interview of artists sharing their journey.

In many ways, I figured out parts of how to experience success. Most importantly, I uncovered a part of me that's real, that we all possess. I started to allow myself to feel worthy. Whenever I came closer to my inner truth, magic started to happen around me. The more honest I was with my desires and who I was, the easier it became to thrive.

Over the years, I got signed by a gallery, featured by my favorite blogs, traveled to residencies and earned a living selling my paintings. I even launched my own six-figure business, co-wrote a book, and started a podcast. In 2016, I left my day job and became a full-time creative.

These achievements were only the surface level of success. The real pathway of how I got here is that I allowed myself to shine. I uncovered the queen that always lived inside of me in order to claim what was already mine. It wasn’t an easy path, but I kept track of my steps, philosophies, and eradicated limiting beliefs over time.

Now I want to help you do the same.

Background

After moving to the US from Russia and studying in a small-town high school, Kat received a bachelor’s degree in painting from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Since 2011 she has been painting, exhibiting her art, and learning how to market and make sales, even before working with art galleries.

Her expressive oil paintings have been exhibited internationally, including Art Miami Fairs, Affordable Art Fair New York and London, Delaware Contemporary, AIR Gallery, and more. She has been featured by multiple media outlets and publications, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Jealous Curator, It’s Nice That, Monocle Magazine, and more.

The real gold mine for me was falling in love with my unique vision: making art that's in line with my truth and sharing my story so that I can empower others to do the same.
